Rowing was once the most popular sport in the world, drawing large crowds with races of national importance.  Unlike other major sports, it has not adapted. Today, rowing ranks 55th, behind table tennis and kickball

 

Rowing as a sport is disconnected.  The elite reaches of the sport are inaccessible to most of the population, with elite colleges and clubs competing against one another in only a few regattas that capture the public imagination.  Every four years, the Olympic cycle brings the sport to mind again with a few exciting races on the edge of primetime coverage.

Rowers Choice Network will create success stories within the league and build an audience around those heroes (and potentially villains of the sport). Athletes of all ages will want to learn how to row and compete/train with the heroes of their sport.
